Have your Furnace Serviced or Replaced if it is on its last legs

If you live on a treed property make sure no limbs are in danger of being overloaded and falling on your home or electrical lines.
Consider a generator in case of a prolonged power outage have candles and flashlights ready
Clean your septic filter and ensure your sump pump is working properly (have a battery backup)
Have your Fireplace inspected and ensure it is working properly or is safe to use if wood burning.
Fire up your snowblower to make sure it is ready for the season and have fuel on hand.
Have sand or salt ready for your walkways and driveway
Change out your main closet for your winter wear and make sure you are covered adequately for the months ahead.
